Keep the research for an idea on a board

Save apps, their screenshots and your own notes for one idea in one place.

Weighing up an idea means looking at many apps and remembering what you thought of each. A board keeps that together: the apps, the screenshots from their store pages, and your own notes.

  1. Make a board

Open Workspace → Research boards, type a name for the idea and press Make a board.

  2. Save apps to it

On any app page, or beside an app in the Screenshot library, choose Save to a board and pick the board. The app appears on the board with its store screenshots.

  3. Say why

Under each app, write a line on why it is there: what it does well, or badly. Use Add a note for anything that is not about one app.

  4. Write the idea down

At the top of the board, put the idea in your own words: who it is for, what is missing in the apps below and what you would test first. Press Save.

  5. Go deeper

With two or more apps on a board, Compare the first 3 puts them side by side and Find gaps in their reviews reads their reviews together.

A free account keeps 1 board, the Indie plan 10 and Studio 50. A board holds up to 60 apps and notes.
