Short answers

What is IndieTower for?

It shows makers what is new on the App Store and Google Play: every launch, quiet tests, apps taking off, and how a niche, a keyword or a competitor is moving. People use it to pick what to build, to position it, and to keep an eye on their market.

Do I need to connect my App Store or Google Play account?

No. IndieTower only reads public store pages. You never give us a store login.

Where does the data come from?

From the public pages, charts, search results and reviews of the App Store and Google Play. What the numbers mean lists which figures are the stores’ own and which are our estimates.

Why is an app missing, or showing up late?

App Store apps usually appear the day after release. Google publishes new apps more slowly, so Google Play apps can take days or longer. If you search for an app we do not hold yet, we fetch it from the store while you wait.

Why does “today” look empty in the morning?

Days follow India time and fill up as the stores publish. The newest complete day is usually yesterday.

Why is there no search volume for keywords?

Apple and Google do not publish one. Tools that show a number are estimating it. We show what we can stand behind: where apps rank, how strong the top ten is, and whether the store’s own search box suggests the term.

How accurate are the download and revenue estimates?

They are ranges, with a chip saying how sure we are. Google Play downloads use Google’s own install counter, so those are solid. App Store downloads and all revenue figures are estimates: good for comparing apps, not exact.

Can I trust the AI summaries and answers?

They are written from real data: review text for summaries, IndieTower’s own data for answers. AI can still misread or miss something, so every answer links to its sources. Open them before making a big decision.

Can I track an app that is not mine?

Yes. Save any app to see its versions and store page changes, and add it as a competitor of your own app.

I lowered my plan. Did I lose what I was tracking?

No. Everything you saved stays. You just cannot add more until you are under the plan’s limit or move back up.

How do I stop the emails?

Every digest and alert has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also switch them off in Settings.

Is there a free trial?

There is a Free plan instead, with no time limit: today’s and yesterday’s launches, Niche Explorer checks and a small amount of tracking. Move to a paid plan when you want history, estimates and the AI tools.

Can I get a refund?

No, payments are not refunded. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. See the Refund policy.

How do I delete my account?

At the bottom of Settings. It removes your account and everything you tracked at once. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first in Billing.
