About

A clear contact sheet for your SER capture. Nerivue reviews monochrome astronomy videos on iPhone and iPad. One purchase includes frame comparison, pixel-region detail scoring, saved decisions and real file exports. COMPARE BEFORE YOU KEEP Open your own .ser file from Files. See a ranked contact sheet with original frame numbers, relative detail and explicit keep checkmarks. Inspect a chosen frame beside the highest-detail frame. Browse twelve thumbnails at a time, review kept frames only, or move through the original sequence. YOUR SELECTION Keep the top 1–100% by detail or override individual decisions. Set a zero-based pixel region for scoring. Cropping the exported SER to that same region is a separate explicit option. Changes recalculate scores and reset manual decisions. For 16-bit input, confirm pixel byte order before analysis: SER writers historically interpret the endian flag differently. TAKE ACTUAL FILES Export Selected.ser in original chronological order. It retains original pixel bytes within the chosen region, bit depth and optional per-frame timestamp bytes. Other header metadata, including the original capture start, is preserved. The exported endian flag follows the established Siril/SerPlayer convention: 0=little, 1=big, matching your confirmed interpretation. A best-frame PNG, six-frame contact PNG, two-page PDF, all-frame decision CSV, review JSON, readme and SHA256 manifest accompany the SER in a ZIP. Preview the actual PDF and share files with the system sheet. PNG/PDF/contact images are 8-bit un-stretched grayscale review previews, not 16-bit masters. Review JSON documents settings and is not an importable backup. Share the retained unchanged original separately. RETURN TO YOUR REVIEW Keep up to 24 reviews and 1 GiB of original sources locally. Reopen, rename, duplicate or delete reviews, with notes and decisions saved. First launch is empty; an optional original synthetic lunar study demonstrates the same processing. SUPPORTED SUBSET Monochrome ColorID 0 only, 8- or 16-bit, 8–2048 pixels per side, 1–6000 frames, 256 MiB per input. Header/frame/trailer length must agree exactly. Selected SER output is limited to 128 MiB; choose fewer frames or crop when needed. No damaged-file repair, Bayer/CFA, RGB, AVI/MOV, compressed video or camera connection. DETAIL IS A GUIDE The score is variance of a four-neighbour Laplacian on a nearest-sampled region up to 96 × 96, normalized to digital full scale. Noise, exposure, content and sampling affect it; a high score does not guarantee better seeing. No registration, stacking, debayering, sharpening, wavelets or invented detail. Back up originals before deleting reviews or the app. No account, subscription, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync or developer-server upload. Files leave when you choose to share them.Read more
