About

Make an impulse response from the files you already recorded. Ruelith is an offline file-pair workbench for iPhone and iPad. Import the reference excitation and its recorded response, extract a regularized linear IR estimate, prepare the output window and share real WAV files. One upfront purchase includes every tool. FROM PAIR TO IR Use two aligned mono WAV files at the same sample rate. Frequency-domain regularization limits unstable division where the reference has little energy. Choose a spectral-power floor from −80 to −20 dB. Inspect the estimated response and its weak-bin percentage; this is not a noise or SNR measurement. PREPARE THE WINDOW Set exact zero-based start and exclusive end samples. Use the peak +250 ms editing shortcut or retain the full response. Set 0–100 ms linear edge fades and optional −1 dBFS peak normalization. Audition uses a separate monitor gain capped at −12 dBFS peak. Raw float32 WAV preserves estimated gain and can exceed unity. KEEP YOUR WORK Save up to 20 local source-bearing projects. Reopen, rename, add notes, duplicate or delete them. Restore an exported Project JSON with both original WAVs and editing settings. The app starts empty; an optional original synthetic echo study demonstrates the tools and is not a real acoustic measurement. SHARE A COMPLETE HANDOFF Export raw and windowed mono float32 WAVs, full sample CSV, waveform PNG, extraction PDF, unchanged source WAVs, editable source-bearing JSON, method readme and SHA-256 manifest in a ZIP. Preview the PDF and share individual files or the packet through the native share sheet. REFERENCE SWEEP FILES Generate a 1, 2, 4 or 8-second log sweep,20 Hz to 18 kHz or 45% of the sample rate, with −18 dBFS level and 50 ms edge fades. Share the file for your own playback and recording setup. Ruelith does not record or control hardware. SUPPORTED SCOPE • Standard mono RIFF WAV:PCM8/16/24/32 or IEEE float32 at 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz. • Up to 8 MiB per input. Reference 0.1–10 seconds; response 0.1–20 seconds and at least reference length. Input samples must be finite and within ±1. • Inputs need the same time origin and a complete response tail. Zero padding covers reference + response−1; only the first response-length causal estimate is retained. • No stereo, compressed/extensible WAV, RF64, resampling, automatic latency/drift correction, nonlinear harmonic separation, microphone recording, calibration or certified measurement. • WAV compatibility depends on the target loader; verify before production use. • 20 projects, 64-character names, 2,000-character notes; project JSON up to 24 MB. Back up sources and editable JSON. Deleting the app removes local work. No subscription, in-app purchase, account, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud service or developer upload. Files leave the app only when you choose to share them.Read more
