Prepare a design before the first stitch. Twillume reads the real needle path in your machine embroidery file and turns it into a clear preparation workspace. Inspect the sequence, name your spools, add stop notes and export an actual-size placement template. One upfront purchase includes all tools on iPhone and iPad. SEE THE FILE Open standard Tajima DST, Melco EXP or Janome JEF from Files. See actual stitch and jump records, decoded dimensions and color-stop sections. Tap a section to isolate it. Scrub the needle order, play an illustrative sequence, show jump lines, zoom, pan or fit the canvas. On iPad, a thread inspector sits beside the large canvas. PREPARE YOUR THREADS Assign personal spool names, digital swatches and stop notes. DST and EXP normally contain no actual thread colors, so their initial swatches are suggestions. JEF indexed swatches are approximate. Your saved choices do not rewrite the source file. CHECK PLACEMENT Enter a centered rectangular working area from 10 to 500 mm per side. Compare the decoded path bounds with the rectangle. This geometric check does not verify your machine's actual sewing area or certify a safe stitch-out. PRINT AND SHARE Create a real A4 placement PDF at physical scale, tiled for larger rectangles, with assembly references and a 10 mm calibration square. Print at 100% / Actual Size and measure the square. The packet also contains a thread-list CSV, stitch-record CSV, vector SVG trace, PNG preview, unchanged original source and editable Project.json. Share individual files or the complete ZIP. SVG is a visual stitch trace, not a machine or cutter format. KEEP YOUR PREPARATION Save up to 40 local projects with their original source bytes. Reopen, rename, duplicate or delete them; your current project returns after relaunch. Import the exported Project.json to restore source, colors, notes and rectangle dimensions. Production starts empty. An optional original botanical study teaches the tools and is explicitly not machine-tested. KNOW THE SCOPE • Sources up to 8 MiB and 200,000 records; project JSON imports up to 12 MiB. Preparation packet exports support design spans up to 500 mm per side. • Standard DST, Melco EXP and Janome JEF only. PES, PEC, JEF+, sequin-mode DST and unknown commands are not supported. • No digitizing, machine-file editing or conversion, hardware connection, stitch repair, inferred trims, thread-consumption estimate or sewing-time prediction. • Playback is illustrative. Reduce Motion disables automatic playback. • Digital colors and source dimensions do not guarantee the result on your machine or fabric. Verify with your machine's instructions and a test sew-out. • Back up important originals and Project.json separately. Deleting the app removes local projects. No subscription, in-app purchase, account, ads, analytics or developer upload. Designs and notes stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
