Tickweave MIDI Shaper

Give an existing MIDI performance a different feel without rebuilding it in a full DAW. Tickweave is a local MIDI file shaper for iPhone and iPad. Import your own Standard MIDI file, select tracks and a range of note starts, then compare timing, pitch, duration and velocity changes against the original. SHAPE THE PERFORMANCE • Quantize to quarter, eighth, sixteenth or thirty-second note grids, with adjustable strength. • Delay alternating grid positions with swing. • Transpose selected notes by up to two octaves and scale their key-down duration. • Reshape note-on velocities with a curve and offset. • Switch between Source, Result and Overlay on the piano roll. Check exact per-note values in the change list. KEEP YOUR OPTIONS Save named versions of your settings. Every edit is recalculated from the imported source, so repeated adjustments do not accumulate rounding changes. Keep project notes, rename or duplicate a source, and delete projects or saved versions. Store up to 12 sources and 20 versions per source. DELIVER REAL FILES Build a ZIP containing the current transformed MIDI, a MIDI for each saved version, your byte-identical source, per-note changes CSV, settings JSON and a readme. Share the complete bank or the current MIDI through the system share sheet. Files are generated and checked on your device. Tempo, meter, program, controller, text and SysEx events remain at their source ticks. Notes outside the selected tracks or onset range are retained. Moving notes does not move controller or tempo events. The output preserves the SMF format and PPQ but normalizes event encoding; it is not a byte-identical rewrite. TRY A PHRASE Start with an empty library, or explicitly load the original two-part Glass phrase example. A simple sine preview helps compare pitch and timing; it does not reproduce MIDI instruments, percussion, controller effects or sustain. COMPATIBILITY Standard MIDI format 0 or 1 with PPQ timing. Up to 4 MB, 64 tracks, 10,000 notes, 100,000 events and 4,096 quarter beats. Format 2, SMPTE timing, malformed events, unclosed notes and ambiguous same-key overlaps are rejected. Export checks for out-of-range pitches and new overlaps. Preview is limited to a 30-second window and 256 notes. MIDI banks are limited to 100 MB before ZIP packaging. Tickweave is a file transformation tool. It does not record audio, connect to MIDI hardware, act as an AUv3 plug-in, provide DAW synchronization or create staff notation. One purchase. No subscription, ads or account. No developer data collection. Imported MIDI and projects stay on your device unless you choose to share them. Use material you own or have permission to edit.
