Reverna Decay Reports

Reverna turns isolated impulse recordings into clear broadband decay comparisons and useful delivery files. Import audio from Files, choose a channel and analysis window, and keep a reference capture alongside the current one. READ THE DECAY A large relative-energy curve shows the selected window. Compare independently normalized current and reference captures on the same time axis. EDT, T20 and T30 rows show estimates in seconds and R² when the fit passes the checks. Unavailable results retain an explanation rather than displaying a forced number. CONTROL THE INPUT Edit source start and end times, choose the analysis channel of a stereo file, preview a window, or start at the source peak. Listen to the source window with its original mono or stereo channels. A project holds up to 12 captures with local source audio, names, settings and report notes. Reopen, duplicate and delete projects. DELIVER REAL FILES Create a PDF comparison and capture record, with additional pages for project notes. Preview and share the actual PDF. CSV includes current and reference decay samples, source windows and channel information. JSON records project settings and fit results. Your library starts empty; an optional synthetic example is clearly labeled and is not a room measurement. METHOD AND LIMITS Broadband Schroeder backward integration of squared samples. EDT fits 0 to −10 dB, T20 −5 to −25 dB, and T30 −5 to −35 dB; each line is extrapolated to 60 dB. Valid fits require R² at least 0.98 and pass clipping, interval, window-end and tail-energy checks. The final 10% estimates tail energy; this conservative check is not a measured noise floor. No frequency-band analysis or calibrated sound pressure. Use an isolated impulse response or impact recording with no automatic gain. Music, repeated impacts, noise, clipping and short windows can invalidate estimates. Reverna does not record a microphone or deconvolve a sweep. It does not provide ISO-certified measurements, SPL calibration, room certification or treatment recommendations. Small or non-diffuse rooms may not have a meaningful single reverberation time. Supports mono or stereo audio iOS can decode: 0.08–60 seconds, 8–192 kHz, up to 64 MB and six million decoded channel samples. JSON is a settings record, not a source-audio backup. Save exports separately before deleting projects or uninstalling.
