About
Flickloom gives finished image frames their own rhythm, then delivers a real GIF and APNG from the same sequence on iPhone and iPad. SET EVERY HOLD Import PNG, JPEG or HEIC stills from Files. Frames begin in natural filename order. Move them earlier or later, duplicate, skip or remove them. Set individual holds from 50 to 3000 milliseconds in 10 ms steps, or apply a common hold to the whole sequence. Undo keeps the last 20 edits in the current session. CHECK EVERY EXPOSURE Open the exposure ledger to see output order and cumulative start/end times, including repeated interior frames in Ping-pong. Tap an exposure to return to its source-frame editor. WATCH YOUR SEQUENCE Preview Forward, Reverse or Ping-pong playback. Ping-pong reverses the interior frames without repeating either endpoint. Choose a 512 or 1024 square canvas, 768 × 512 landscape or 512 × 768 portrait. Fit the whole image or crop from its center. Choose transparent, ivory, white or black backgrounds. Preview and export use the same canvas and frame order. DELIVER FINISHED ANIMATIONS Share a ZIP containing Animation.gif, Animation.png (animated PNG / APNG), Timing.csv, Manifest.json and Readme.txt. The timing record maps each output frame to its source position and hold; the manifest records size, direction, background and repeat settings. GIF has palette-limited color and flattens transparency to white when Transparent is selected. APNG retains alpha when Transparent is selected. Some viewers show only the first APNG frame, and playback timing depends on the receiving viewer. KEEP YOUR WORK Projects, copied frames and settings save automatically on your device. Reopen, rename or delete projects. Normal installs start empty; you can explicitly open an original eight-frame bloom example generated on the device. It uses the same editor and encoder as imported stills. iPad provides a light-table frame grid beside a large playback stage and hold controls. iPhone keeps the stage, selected-frame timing and ordered grid together, with focused canvas and export views. One upfront purchase. No subscription, in-app purchases, account, ads, analytics, tracking or developer-server upload. Two included frames are required for animation. Up to 60 source frames per project, 25 MB and 50 million pixels per input. Local PNG copies are downsampled to a 2048-pixel longest side. Up to 30 saved projects, 300 MB of source copies per project and 1 GB of local library storage. Recent exported packages are retained, with the five newest kept. Export packages contain finished animations and settings, not original sources or an editable project backup. Keep originals separately and use images you have permission to process and share. Flickloom does not draw, capture stop motion, import video or existing animated files, add sound, interpolate motion or edit source pixels. Source metadata is not copied into exported animations.Read more
