About
You found the perfect color. Now you have to mix it — and half a tube later, it's still not right. Slab Knife Hue tells you which of your own paints to use, and in what parts. HOW IT WORKS Lift a color from any photo with a loupe, or dial it in by hand. The app tries every pair and trio of tubes you actually own. You get a clear recipe: Titanium White 6, Yellow Ochre 2, Burnt Sienna 1. Mix it, save it to your project, come back to it next week. WHY PAINTERS LOVE IT No more muddy guesswork or wasted paint. No more "how did I mix that sky?" The recipe is written down, with the exact tubes from your own box — acrylic, oil or gouache. SQUEEZE AND STIR Hold a tube to squeeze paint onto the slab, part by part. Then sweep the palette knife in circles and watch the streaks marble together until the final color appears. It feels like the real table, minus the cleanup. WET TODAY, DRY TOMORROW Acrylic dries darker, gouache shifts as it goes matte. Every swatch shows both the wet color on your palette and the dry color on your canvas, so there are no surprises the next morning. THE TUBE YOU'RE MISSING When a color is out of reach, the app names the one pigment that would get you there — and shows how much of the color wheel your set already covers. A PALETTE THAT REMEMBERS Projects keep every mix side by side as a color board. Log each batch you mix and your tubes empty along with it, so you know what to buy before you run out. Share a project's palette as a single picture. KNOW YOUR PIGMENTS A library of classic pigments with their real character: transparent or opaque, gentle or overpowering, lightfast or prone to fading — plus tint ladders that show how each one behaves with white. MADE FOR Hobby painters building their first palette. Students learning color theory with real paint. Illustrators matching a reference. Plein-air painters who need the right green fast. Pick a color. Get the recipe. Paint.Read more

WHY PAINTERS LOVE IT
No more muddy guesswork or wasted paint. No more "how did I mix that sky?" The recipe is written down, with the exact tubes from your own box — acrylic, oil or gouache.
SQUEEZE AND STIR
Hold a tube to squeeze paint onto the slab, part by part. Then sweep the palette knife in circles and watch the streaks marble together until the final color appears. It feels like the real table, minus the cleanup.
WET TODAY, DRY TOMORROW
Acrylic dries darker, gouache shifts as it goes matte. Every swatch shows both the wet color on your palette and the dry color on your canvas, so there are no surprises the next morning.
THE TUBE YOU'RE MISSING
When a color is out of reach, the app names the one pigment that would get you there — and shows how much of the color wheel your set already covers.
A PALETTE THAT REMEMBERS
Projects keep every mix side by side as a color board. Log each batch you mix and your tubes empty along with it, so you know what to buy before you run out. Share a project's palette as a single picture.
KNOW YOUR PIGMENTS
A library of classic pigments with their real character: transparent or opaque, gentle or overpowering, lightfast or prone to fading — plus tint ladders that show how each one behaves with white.
