About
Say one short line. Then say it again — whispering. Again — far too happy. Again — like they've done it for the third time. EchoTakeDiary stacks every version on top of the others, slightly out of step, and hands you back a small crowd made entirely of you. It is the strangest way anyone has kept a diary. SOME SENTENCES ARE WORTH REPEATING The ones you say every day without hearing them. The ones you never say out loud. The kind thing you can't quite tell yourself. Record one, and you'll be asked to mean it four different ways. What comes back is never what you expected — and it is very hard not to play it to somebody. CAN YOU ACTUALLY DO ANGRY? The app listens to how you say each one and tells you, honestly, whether you pulled it off. Most people cannot whisper. Almost nobody can do delighted without sounding like a hostage. Over weeks it builds a quiet picture of the moods you can carry and the ones you keep quietly swapping away. NOTHING IS EVER FINISHED Come back next week and add another voice to the same line — a fifth of you, in whatever mood the day left you in. Old sentences keep collecting new versions of you, each one stamped with the day it arrived. A month in, the oldest ones are unrecognisable. THE SHAPE OF THE CROWD IS YOURS Pull the voices apart until they answer each other, or push them together until they land as one. The whole thing tightens and loosens under your fingers. YOURS AND ONLY YOURS Everything you record stays on this phone. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is shared unless you choose to. Start with one sentence. There will be four of you by the end of it.Read more
