About
Your child hears a word, then taps the matching picture. VocabPeek Junior teaches first English words to children aged 2 to 5, right on the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPad. LEARN ON THE HOME SCREEN Add the widget and a round of three words waits on the Home Screen. The widget says the word aloud, your child taps one of three pictures, and after three words the round is done. No app to open, no lesson to sit through. NO READING NEEDED Listen, then tap. A wrong picture fades and your child simply tries again until they find the right one. Each new word starts on a learn card: your child hears it three times before it comes back in a quiz. MORE TO PLAY IN THE APP • Rounds of five words with learn cards and three-picture quizzes • A matching round for familiar words: pair each word with its picture • 418 everyday words in 32 topics: animals, fruit, colours, numbers, vehicles, body, feelings and more • A British or American English voice built into iOS, a little slower than usual A REVIEW PLAN FOR EACH CHILD The app remembers every tap. Words your child misses come back soon; words they know well come back less often. Two pictures your child keeps mixing up are shown side by side until they can tell them apart. NOTES FOR PARENTS Behind a parental gate, a weekly note reads like a teacher's report: how many new words your child learned, which ones they still mix up, and a tip for practising at home. See progress by topic, choose topics, and set the learning pace. MADE FOR FAMILIES • Up to 4 children on one device, each with their own animal and colour • Meanings in Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean or Chinese under each word, or English only • Progress syncs between iPhone and iPad through iCloud • Works offline, no account, no ads • Settings and links sit behind a parental gate VocabPeek Junior does not teach reading or writing, and it does not score your child's pronunciation. It helps your child recognise the words they hear, one small round at a time.Read more
