About
Know the pull before the belt goes on. Belt Installation Maven plans conveyor belt installation. Enter the belt, idlers and conveyor profile section by section, then follow the new belt from the let-off to the winch, stage by stage. PULLING FORCE See the pull at the winch for every stage as the new belt advances, whether a winch cable draws it or the old belt is wound off ahead of it. REQUIRED JOINT CAPACITY Read the force capacity the pulling joint needs: the largest tension at the winder in any stage, including the cable's weight on slopes. LET-OFF BRAKING On downhill conveyors, find out whether the belt would overrun the let-off and how much more braking it needs. Add let-off brake steps as the belt advances and see their effect. FIVE WORKSPACES • Belt & method: winching with a cable or winding the old belt; pulling at the winder or retarding at the let-off. Choose the belt by width, strength and covers, the CEMA idler class with flat or V returns and the idler spacing, and the winch rope. The app calculates the belt and idler masses and picks the smallest charted rope for the pull; override any of them with your supplier's figures. • Conveyor profile: sections on the carry or return side, as horizontal length and end elevation or as inclined length and angle. Place the winch at any station and add let-off brake steps. • Pull results: the required pulling force, required joint capacity and braking, with the pull at the winch for every stage and the tension at every station. Export the printout, CSV tables or a JSON report. • Site map: trace the conveyor on Apple Maps, and drag its points with a mouse, Apple Pencil or finger, to place its stations and the pull-on and pull-off points on site. With your permission, show your position, follow it, and on iPhone and iPad turn the map with your heading. Your location stays on your device. • Belt & idler data: the belt mass, CEMA idler and wire rope charts. A TESTED METHOD Automated tests check the calculation against hand calculations and reference cases for winching, winding, downhill retarding and let-off brakes. Method & evidence lists every step and the engineering assumptions to review. YOUR UNITS AND LANGUAGE Projects store SI values: metres, kilograms and newtons, with results in kilonewtons or pounds-force. Show and enter them in metric or imperial units, converted exactly and never rounded before results are shown, with regional idler-spacing and belt-width presets. The app and its text printout are available in 39 languages and regional variants. ONE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION Unlock Belt & method, Conveyor profile, Pull results, Site map and Belt & idler data on supported Apple devices for US$5.00 per month.
