About

Duckdrake is the daily art of skipping stones — one lake, one wind, five throws at your best run. How it works: 1. Every day brings one shared lake with its own wind, its own gates to thread, and its own hazards to route around. Drag back to set your power, watch the aim wedge sweep, and release — every stone naturally seeks the real "magic angle" (20 degrees, the angle physicists have found gives a stone its best chance to skip), and better gear gets you closer to it, so upgrading your loadout is what turns a single plop into a run of skips across the water. Pull back too far and the throw gets shaky and harder to aim — real risk for real power — and you have only a few seconds to decide before the shot goes off on its own. 2. Read the water before you throw. Thread a gate for a bonus, and the tighter its posts stand, the more it pays. Clip a buoy and your stone loses speed. Hit a rock or a moored ship and it stops dead right there. Overpower the throw and it slams into the far bank. Every lake shows you its goal — what a solid round is worth here — before your first stone leaves your hand. 3. Five throws, one score. Coins come from how well you play against that goal, so a good round funds the next one. Build a streak by coming back each day, and a Streak Saver can protect it if you ever miss. Climb the ladder: ten named lakes run from The Shallows to Drake's Crown, and each opens only once you beat the goal on the one below it, with narrower water, stronger wind and more hazards at every step. Entering one costs Coins, and what comes back is set purely by how your five throws score against that lake's goal. There is no luck in it: a poor round still returns half the entry, a great one up to three times it. Back out before your first throw and the entry is refunded in full, or watch an ad for a free entry to The Shallows. The Practice Pond is open any time, with no limit and no entry — a place to work on your release. It keeps no score, sets no records, and pays no Coins; that is what the daily and paid lakes are for. Better stones and grips genuinely change how far and how straight you skip — more power, tighter precision, more resistance to the wind. Grips are permanent once bought with Coins or Pearls. Stones you buy with Coins or Pearls come in packs of rounds, so a stronger throw is a choice you keep making, not a one-time unlock — and the legendary Moonstone and Steady Grip, bought outright in the Shop, never run out. Nothing is required to play: the daily lake is always free, forever. No account required. Your streak, gear, and balances stay on your device.Read more
