About
Skycharted shows you what's genuinely in the sky above you tonight — computed on your device from your real location, using the same star catalog and IAU constellation data real astronomy software relies on. No stock images, no generic zodiac wheel. How it works: 1. Open the app and see the constellation currently best-placed in your real sky, along with tonight's real moon phase, visible planets, and any active meteor shower. 2. Trace it by tapping the real stars in order — the same asterism lines astronomers use, not a simplified cartoon shape. 3. Every constellation you trace gets logged in your field journal, with its real name, distance, and best viewing season. Work toward all 88 IAU constellations over time. Everything is computed locally — the same real astronomical calculations (not a lookup table) used to determine what's visible from your exact latitude, longitude, and the time of night. The night sky genuinely doesn't change much night to night, but the moon phase, visible planets, and meteor showers do — so there's always something real to check. Your first week is the full experience: the deep-sky catalog and the extended forecast are unlocked for 7 days, with no account and nothing to buy. After that, a one-time Skycharted Pro unlock (not a subscription) keeps them — 110 galaxies, nebulae and star clusters you can browse or point your camera at, plus a week-and-month view of when each constellation you're still missing is next high enough to trace. It removes ads too. The full 88-constellation collection loop is free for everyone, always. No account required. Where you are is used to work out what's actually above you, and it never leaves the handset.Read more

The home screen now scrolls the way you'd expect: swipe anywhere, including right across the star chart, and "Find it in the sky" sits just under tonight's constellation instead of below the fold. Pinch to zoom the chart still works as before.
