Canopy cover, canopy openness, green fractional cover, crown closure, leaf area index, and light transmittance are different quantities. Canopyplot does not certify a survey, identify species, estimate leaf area index, or replace an approved protocol. Use the method required by your project and document any departure in the field notes. All project data stays in the app's private container unless you choose the share sheet. A selected photo is processed on device and is not uploaded or stored in the project. No account, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising, analytics, or tracking is included.
