About
Design the whole house one room at a time. Home Automation Design Pro is a room-by-room design tool for the integrator standing inside the house with the customer. Each home runs on a rail of seven stops across the top of the screen — Home, Rooms, Systems, Scenes, Keypads, Rack, Proposal — and every count you make in a room flows forward to the head end and the price. HOME • Customer, address, designer, square footage, floors. • Three switches that shape the design: aging in place (life-safety reminders), a local voice hub, a smart electrical panel. ROOMS • Tap a room kind — living, kitchen, dining, primary suite, bedroom, bath, office, theater, hall, entry, garage, patio, laundry, mechanical — and it lands with sensible starting counts. • Rename it, set its floor; badges on its card show what is inside. SYSTEMS • Lighting: how many loads, and whether they ride on wired dimmers, wireless dimmers, or a centralized lighting panel. • Shades: motorized windows, battery or wired. • Sound and picture: TV or projector, speaker pairs from in-ceiling to towers to outdoor, a source, and an amplifier, receiver, or soundbar to drive them. • Climate and sensing: thermostat, presence sensor, door and window contacts, and a leak sensor already on in wet rooms. • Network: Wi-Fi access point, wired drops, an in-wall touchscreen. • Life safety: fall-detection sensor, help-pendant receiver, panic button. SCENES • Start from Welcome, Good morning, Movie, Dinner, Goodnight, Away, or All off, or name your own. • For each scene, set every room's lights to a percent, its shades to a position, its sound and screen on or off, and a climate setpoint. Rooms you leave alone are skipped. KEYPADS • Put a keypad in any room, pick 2, 4, 6, or 8 buttons and a finish — ivory, white, black, bronze, or stainless — and give each button a scene. • The faceplate draws on screen exactly as it will be engraved. RACK • Control points are counted straight from the rooms — loads, shades, keypads, touchscreens, AV zones, thermostats, sensors — and the processor picks itself. Override it when you know better. • Access points from the square footage or from rooms you flag, wired ports with 25% spare, the switch count, and PoE watts against budget. • The rack drawn unit by unit with its power draw, a UPS sized to match, and router and UPS toggles. PROPOSAL • Every device by room at catalog price, install hours at your shop rate, programming hours for scenes, keypads, and zones, permits, and your margin, with subtotals per room. • A review list graded good, look again, or fix before install: processor capacity, PoE budget, rack fit, uncontrolled lights, screens with no source, theaters with no receiver, speakers with nothing driving them, wet rooms with no leak sensor, aging-in-place rooms with no fall sensor, scenes that do nothing, blank keypad buttons. • The Proposal PDF on your letterhead: three headline numbers, a page per room with the keypad engraving, the scenes, the head end, the price table, and the review list. • Mark it sent, mark it won, and hand the awarded job to ProjectLead as one file — a line per system per room, keypad engraving in the notes. SIZER Three calculators that need no home open: control points to a processor and lighting panels; square feet and drops to access points, ports, switches, and PoE; rack draw to a UPS and circuit. PHOTOS, NOTES, BACKUP Photos from the library or camera, tagged to a room. Notes per home. The whole home backs up to one file you can move anywhere. No account, no server; the design stays on your phone. WHAT IT COSTS Your first three homes are free for good, and a home you already built never locks. Pro, monthly or annual, opens unlimited homes.
