About

Is that kindness really on your side? "Send me your crush's DMs. I just want to help." "We're friends. Let's post that photo!" A friendly smile can hide a plan that ignores what your friend actually wants. Frenemy Busters is a chat story and social deduction game about protecting friends through the words you choose. Read the conversation, pick one of three replies, and stop a scheme before a secret becomes gossip or someone else takes over a personal decision. Please note: in-game dialogue and menus are currently in Japanese. This English listing introduces the game; an English-language gameplay build is not yet available. CHOOSE YOUR REPLY Start with your friend's wishes. Do they want a photo kept private? Do they want to reply to a crush themselves? Your goal is to protect that choice, not simply deliver the harshest comeback. Ask a question, challenge an assumption, offer support, set a boundary, or give your friend room to speak. The useful response depends on the scene. A reply that sounds kind can still hand control to the wrong person. FRIEND... OR FRENEMY? Some stages ask you to identify whose actions are crossing the line. Compare what the characters say with what they intend to do. One person may choose a different photo. Another may ask before posting. A third may brush off a clear refusal. Look beyond a sweet tone or a suspicious expression. Find the action that ignores your friend's wishes, then work out how to stop it. Identifying the problem is only part of the challenge. 30 STORIES, FAMILIAR DRAMA Explore romance, social media, private messages, backhanded compliments, unwanted matchmaking, and invitations that never arrived. Different characters and situations keep you reading closely instead of accusing the same person every time. Two stages are available at the start. Each first-time stage clear opens one more, up to all 30. Replaying an already cleared stage does not add another unlock. All stages can be reached through play without buying extra stories. SHUT DOWN THE EXCUSES "I'm only doing this for you." "Can't you trust a friend?" A frenemy may push back after your first reply. Separate gratitude from permission, question an unfair assumption, and choose your next response. A win has a visible result: a secret stays private, an unwanted photo is not posted, or your friend gets to send their own reply. Celebrate with the clear screen, confetti, and the reaction of the person you helped. READ AT YOUR OWN PACE Messages advance automatically and pause when it is your turn to choose. Set the conversation speed to 1x, 1.5x, 2x, or 3x. You do not have to tap through every line. Review the conversation before deciding. Compare your friend's request with the proposed action. There are no complicated battle commands to memorize: the challenge is understanding what each reply would allow to happen next. RETRY AND UNDERSTAND A well-meant answer can become an opening for the other character. When a choice fails, read the reactions and explanation, then retry from that choice instead of starting the whole story again. Use hints when you need a nudge. Similar answers may differ in who gets to decide, what gets shared, or whether an unwanted action really stops. Learning that difference is part of the fun. BUILD YOUR FIELD GUIDE Review takeaways from cleared scenes and read about patterns, responses, and boundaries. Friendship is not permission to share. A compliment does not excuse ignoring a refusal. Asking for advice is not the same as handing over a decision. The guide also explores sharing less, creating distance, and asking someone you trust for help. "Frenemy" is not a diagnosis. The correct answers fit the fictional scene, not every real-life relationship. A STORY GAME, NOT A MESSAGING SERVICE Conversations use fictional characters and written scenarios. You do not chat with strangers or upload your own DMs. The app includes ads. Read between the lines. Stand up for friends.Read more
