About
Dark Strata is a personal field journal for people who study and visit volcanic landscapes. Plan expeditions, record observations and keep every note, photo and sample in one place. Create expeditions with dates, a cover photo and a status that moves from planned to active to completed. Each one gathers its own field notes and samples, shows them on a map and summarizes the work in simple statistics. Field notes capture title, date, category, description, photos, tags and coordinates. Build a sample collection with rock type, color, texture, porosity and weight, compare two samples side by side and browse a built in reference of eight common rocks. The map shows every saved location, with filters and directions. Insights turns your records into charts. Export a polished PDF report for an expedition, or share a single note or sample card.Read more
