About
WB Meter measures the colour temperature (Kelvin) and green/magenta tint of the light with your iPhone's main camera and documents it in one tap. Made for filmmakers, photographers and gaffers on location scouts, event and wedding shoots: walk through every room, take a photo, and you know exactly which white balance to dial into your camera. SPOT: THE ACCURATE WAY Fill the centre circle with a grey card. The app adjusts the white balance until the card is perfectly neutral, just like a custom white balance on a cinema camera, and converts the result with the camera's built-in colour calibration. AUTO: THE QUICK WAY A live reading of the whole frame, based on the iPhone's automatic white balance. DOCUMENT IT • Lock the reading, frame the room, shoot. • Kelvin, tint, mode and time are burned into the photo. • Location is saved with every photo, so your scout shows up on the map in Photos. • Optional copy in Files, named by date, Kelvin and tint. • Volume buttons and Camera Control work as a shutter (iOS 18 or later). SIMPLE AND PRIVATE No account, no ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking. Nothing leaves your iPhone. Tint is shown on the Adobe DNG scale (±150) or as Δuv. Cinema cameras use their own tint scales, so treat tint as direction and amount.Read more
