About
Daily Geist is a tool for learning the works of German philosophers, one short passage a day. Each bite gives you: • The original German, taken from the first edition and kept in its old spelling (Muth, daß, Blüthe) • Our own translation in English, Traditional Chinese or Korean • A 60-second explanation of the idea • One concrete way to use it today At launch: German Idealism (Kant, Hegel), Existentialism (Nietzsche, Schopenhauer) and the Enlightenment (Kant's "What is Enlightenment?", Lichtenberg). New schools arrive every one to two weeks: Hermeneutics, Phenomenology, Romanticism, Critique and Society, the Frankfurt School. Every quote names its source: the work, the year of the first edition and the page. Each thinker has a hand-drawn line portrait, and each idea a small drawing that explains it. Calm by design: no account, no ads, no tracking and no feed. The app works offline and keeps everything on your phone. One optional daily reminder at 8:00. Pocket the bites you have read and come back tomorrow for the next one.Read more
