About
Open Poetry Island and you land on an ink-blue, paper-textured shore where 45 classic Chinese poems live. A child reads them, learns them by heart, then plays the quiz. READ FIRST, THEN PLAY Open a poem: large characters with pinyin above every one, the lines fading in one after another as if being written down. Tap the speaker and it reads the whole poem aloud in the system's on-device voice — no internet, no recording. FOUR WAYS TO PLAY · Finish the couplet: given the first line, pick the matching second line · Fill the blank: one character is missing from a line — choose it · Who wrote it: given a line, pick its poet · Poetry Park: all three in rotation Eight questions per round, and wrong answers can be reviewed on the same device afterwards. PAINTED BACKDROPS Each of the 45 poems is matched to an ink-and-wash backdrop by its own imagery — the goose poem gets the goose, Quiet Night Thought gets the moon, River Snow gets the snow mountains. Thirteen in all. The verse tiles and question panels are drawn in code rather than taken from an image library. LEVELS AND PROGRESS Parents can choose Basic (mostly five-character quatrains), Advanced (seven-character and longer) or All. Correct answers earn twelve collectible stickers. QUIET, OFFLINE, SAFE · Everything is built in — it works with no internet at all · Requests no permissions; no ads, no in-app purchases, no sign-in · Progress, wrong answers and settings are written only on this device and are erased when the app is deleted · The children's privacy policy and a report-and-complaint entry live in Settings All 45 poems are in the public domain and reproduced from standard editions without rewriting. Speech uses the system's on-device voice: nothing is recorded and no voice profile is ever created.Read more
