About
You know the moment: the walk is half laid, the store just closed, and you're two bags of sand short. Dig Lay Grow starts where every good yard starts, with a sketch. Run your finger across a grid and paint the house, the path to the gate, the lawn, a pond, a hedge along the back fence. Every square you paint knows its size, so the numbers are ready before you've finished drawing. Tap the front walk and it tells you how many pavers to order, how much crushed stone and sand go underneath, and how many feet of edging hold it all in place. Pull the stone layer an inch deeper and watch the tons follow. Drag the floor of the pond down and the water rises with it, along with the liner size and the pump it will need. The rest of the yard works the same way. Seed or sod for the lawn. Spray heads, rotors or a drip line for the beds, with run times for every month. Blocks and drainage rock for a retaining wall. Arborvitae spaced three feet apart, and a gentle nudge when a tree is going in too close to the house. Path lights set so their pools of light meet instead of leaving dark patches underfoot. All of it lands on one shopping list with prices you can adjust. Swipe a line once it's in the truck. Widen the path a month later and the list quietly tells you what to top up, or what's left over. Then the yard keeps going. Your sowing date turns into a watering plan and a first mow. October brings a reminder to pull the pump and blow out the sprinkler lines. One glance at the season strip shows what's done, what slipped and what's next. Planning a first patio, finishing a cabin plot one summer at a time, or pricing three client yards this week: the plan, the list and the calendar stay together, and a quote is ready to send with your markup on top. Open the sample backyard to see everything at once, or start a blank lot and paint your own. Dig it. Lay it. Grow it.Read more
