About

SPECORA is an engineering specification studio for iPhone and iPad. Turn dimensions, tolerances, materials, and components into a structured technical library you can maintain and analyze. Start with a part or a specification. Define its parameters, explore dimensional limits, compare design alternatives, and keep a clear revision history. Bring the results together in a specification sheet you can export and share. BUILD YOUR SPECIFICATIONS • Create mechanical, electrical, material, and custom specifications. • Define parameter names, values, units, and tolerance deviations. • See nominal, minimum, maximum, and total tolerance values. • Set your own minimum and maximum rules for nominal parameters. • Start from reusable templates or import parameter data from CSV. EXPLORE TOLERANCES • Analyze symmetric and asymmetric dimensional limits. • Compare worst-case and root sum square (RSS) tolerance stacks. • Build signed dimension chains and drag terms to reorder them. • Calculate minimum and maximum shaft/hole clearance. • Identify clearance, transition, and interference fits from entered limits. COMPARE AND REFINE • Create alternative scenarios from an existing specification. • Compare material selections, mass, dimensions, and tolerances side by side. • Highlight values that differ from the current baseline. • Preserve revision snapshots when saving specification changes. • Compare parameter values and tolerance deviations between revisions. ORGANIZE PARTS AND MATERIALS • Build a personal component library with custom groups. • Link parts to their specifications. • Create assemblies and edit bills of materials. • Calculate total component quantities and estimated assembly mass. • Define custom material density, modulus, yield strength, thermal expansion, and cost. • Keep material sources and notes alongside their properties. KEEP YOUR ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE • Save reusable parameters, templates, formulas, and standards notes. • Evaluate custom arithmetic formulas with named variables. • Search specifications, parts, materials, parameters, formulas, templates, and revisions. USE TOOLS IN CONTEXT • Access 45 calculations across dimensions, tolerances, materials, mechanics, electrical quantities, and construction. • Add calculated results to specifications as new parameters. • Convert and compare units across 13 quantity groups. • View parameter conversions while retaining the original value and unit. EXPORT YOUR WORK • Generate PDF specification sheets with parameters and revision history. • Export specifications as CSV or JSON and bills of materials as CSV. • Share files through the native share sheet or print with AirPrint. • Generate QR labels containing a local specification ID. • Scan or enter a code to open a matching specification in your local library. A focused document-style interface brings your engineering library to iPhone, with a dedicated sidebar workspace on iPad. No account is required, and your library is stored locally on your device. SPECORA provides calculation aids and user-defined rule checks. Results depend on your inputs and material data; they do not certify engineering safety or standards compliance. RSS results assume independent deviations and represent statistical estimates. QR labels open specifications already present in the receiving device's local library.Read more
