About

Turning the alarm off is easy. Getting up is hard. DayPlay is an alarm that refuses to be the end of the conversation. It rings through Silent mode and Focus, and when mission lock is on, the stop button does not send you back to bed. It opens your routine on step one, and the alarm keeps ringing until that step is actually done. A REAL ALARM, NOT A NOTIFICATION On iOS 26 and later DayPlay uses Apple's AlarmKit, the same system the built in Clock app uses. Full screen alert, Lock Screen presence, Dynamic Island, and sound that cuts through Silent mode and Do Not Disturb. On older systems DayPlay falls back to a burst of time sensitive notifications and tells you so on screen, because an alarm app that quietly does less than it promised is worse than no alarm app. MISSION LOCK Choose what "awake" means. With mission lock on, there is no dismiss button. There is a first step, and finishing it is what stops the sound. Brushing your teeth, drinking a glass of water, standing up and opening the curtains. You pick. COUNTED SNOOZES Unlimited snoozing is the problem, not the feature. Give yourself zero, one, two or three snoozes per routine. When they run out the snooze button is not greyed out. It is gone. ESCAPE PROTECTION Force quitting the app while the mission is locked does not end the alarm. It comes back about ninety seconds later. Getting past DayPlay takes more effort than getting up. THEN THE ROUTINE PLAYS ITSELF Once you are up, DayPlay plays your routine the way a music player plays an album. One step fills the screen, a large countdown runs, and there is one button. You never have to hold the whole list in your head. The countdown stays on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and there is an Apple Watch companion for done, skip and plus two minutes. BUILT FOR MORNINGS THAT USUALLY FALL APART DayPlay is made for people who sleep through three alarms, who lose twenty minutes between waking and starting, and who have been told to "just try harder". It is ADHD friendly by design: no shaming language, no broken streak drama, no wall of checkboxes. The weekly summary shows planned versus actual minutes honestly, because a routine you cannot measure is a routine you cannot fix. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No DayPlay server. Your routines, step names and history stay on your device and can be exported as JSON whenever you want. Anonymous usage counters can be switched off in Settings with one tap, and the same screen shows you exactly what was recorded. FREE, AND WHAT PRO ADDS The real alarm, mission lock, escape protection, the player, reminders and the Lock Screen timer are all free, with up to two routines. DayPlay Pro removes the routine limit so morning, evening, workout and medication can each have their own alarm, and adds weekly insight suggestions, two extra theme packs and flexible streak protection. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS DayPlay Pro is an auto renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, with a 7 day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. DayPlay is a focus and routine tool. It is not a medical treatment or a diagnostic tool.
