Motley Brazier

Motley Brazier is a logic puzzle from a travelling troupe of performers. Every stage is a grid of iron braziers, and some of them are cold. Tap a brazier and it flips together with its neighbours: cold bowls catch, burning ones go out. Light every brazier at once, and try to do it in par — the true minimum number of taps. FIVE ACTS, 60 HAND-CHECKED STAGES • Opening Act — the classic plus-shaped spark. • Crosswind — a tap flips the four diagonals instead. • Trapdoors — holes in the stage that sparks skip over. • Three Flames — every brazier climbs from cold to ember to blaze. • Long Fuse — the spark reaches two braziers in each straight direction. Every stage is built from a known solution, so it is always solvable, and its par is the real minimum found by the solver. TORCHES, NOT LUCK Finish in par without help for 3 torches. Stuck? A Spark marks one brazier from the shortest way to finish from where you are — it costs torches, never your progress. Undo as often as you like, restart in one tap, and hold a brazier to preview what a tap would flip. DAILY BLAZE One new stage every day with its own rule. Light it before midnight to build a streak, and look back over your last 28 days on the calendar.
