About
Solve It! teaches pre-algebra, the math that comes before Algebra 1, one idea at a time, with animated pictures that show why each rule works: why two negatives make a positive, why you flip and multiply, why the same move keeps a balance level. When a skill clicks, the Play tab turns it into a quick game. LEARN • Eight tracks and 36 short lessons on three paths. Numbers: Negative numbers, Fractions and decimals, Exponents and roots, Scientific notation. Proportion: Ratios and rates, Percent. Algebra: Expressions, Equations • Pictures for every idea: a thermometer, zero pairs, hops on a number line, x-bags, algebra tiles, an area model, a balance that makes the same move on both sides, ratio tables, double number lines, tape diagrams, percent bars, fraction bars, decimal grids, long division, square and cube stacks • Every lesson goes learn, practice, quiz, with no timer or lives • A wrong answer brings the picture back with a hint about that exact slip: adding the bottoms, flipping the wrong fraction, getting the sign wrong, reading a percent as dollars • Tell it where you are and it suggests a first lesson. Nothing is locked behind progress PLAY • Five games: Integer blitz, Solve for x, Ratio tables, Percent of, Powers and roots • Pick the operations for Integer blitz, and one-step, two-step or negative equations for Solve for x • Beat the clock for 1, 2 or 3 minutes with 3 lives, or get 20, 40 or 60 in a row on a stopwatch • Four answer choices, a ready-set-go countdown, and a cheer at streaks of 5, 10 and 20 • Best scores and times for every game and challenge, lesson progress and recent games on the Results tab PLAYERS • Optional local players, each with a name and an animal avatar • Each player's progress stays on this device FREE TO START All of Negative numbers is free, every lesson, and so is Integer blitz with every challenge. So is the first lesson of every other track. One in-app purchase unlocks everything else, once: the other 24 lessons and the Solve for x, Ratio tables, Percent of and Powers and roots games. No subscription. Family Sharing is on, so one purchase covers your family. PRIVATE AND AD-FREE No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your progress stays on your device. Works on iPhone and iPad, in portrait or landscape, in light or dark mode, with sound effects you can turn down or off.Read more
