About

Most plant apps tell you what your plant is. Terrarium tells you what your plant needs. Snap a photo and Terrarium recognizes your plant, then builds a care plan around the one sitting on your windowsill: its species, its pot, its light and how you've actually been caring for it. Not a generic fact sheet. Your plant. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Terrarium is built on its own hand-curated library of 1,000 plants, from pothos and monsteras to cacti, ferns, herbs and orchids. Every species has its own watering needs, light, humidity, feeding, growing season, pet safety and common problems. So the same symptom gets the right answer for the right plant. Yellow leaves on a cactus usually mean too much water. On a pothos they can mean something else entirely. Terrarium knows the difference, and it tells you what to do about it. SNAP, IDENTIFY, DONE • Point your camera at a plant, or pick a photo, and Terrarium suggests what it is with a confidence score. • Not sure? Search by any common name, even with a typo. "Snak plant" still finds Snake Plant. • Answer a few quick questions: where it lives, pot size, pot material. That's your plant set up. A SCHEDULE THAT FITS YOUR PLANT Two monsteras can need water on different days. A small terracotta pot dries out much faster than a big glazed one, and a plant by a bright window drinks more than one in a dim corner. Terrarium works all of that out for you: • Watering, feeding, repotting and rotating reminders, each with its own schedule • A watering amount sized to your pot, like "about 2 fl oz" for a small succulent • Automatic slow-downs in each plant's rest season, with feeding paused until spring • Toxicity warnings when a plant isn't safe for pets or kids IT REACTS TO YOUR WEATHER Turn on local weather and Terrarium checks Apple Weather near you. A week of dry desert air? Your outdoor plants get watered sooner. Humid and rainy? It waits. Rain on the way? You'll get a heads-up before you water an outdoor plant for nothing. Every change comes with a plain-English note explaining why. A PLANT DOCTOR IN YOUR POCKET Something looks off? Tap Diagnose this plant and take a photo. • Leaf health: spots, yellowing, wilting and leggy growth • Soil check: too dry, damp or soggy for this species • Whole plant: a quick general look You get a verdict for that plant, not the whole internet's best guess. A wilting plant you watered yesterday gets different advice from one you haven't watered in two weeks. When the fix is a schedule change, one tap applies it. And if a photo is too unclear to judge, Terrarium says so instead of guessing. IT LEARNS YOUR ROUTINE Always watering your fern a couple of days early because it dries out fast in your home? Terrarium notices the pattern and offers to match your schedule to your routine. Watered early? The countdown simply restarts from today. Logged something by mistake? Undo any entry, and the schedule goes back exactly as it was. ALWAYS WITHIN REACH • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show what needs care, and you can check off a task without opening the app • Siri: "What needs water in Terrarium?" or "I watered my plant in Terrarium" • Reminders that respect your quiet hours • A Today view with your week ahead, streak and local weather at a glance • A care history and photo timeline for every plant • Designed for iPhone and iPad, in light and dark mode PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. Plant identification and photo checks run right on your device, and your plants, photos and history stay there. Terrarium doesn't collect your data. Local weather is optional, and you can export a backup of your garden anytime. Whether you have one plant on your desk or a jungle in the living room, Terrarium helps you give each one exactly what it needs.Read more
