Gainfield: Mic Setup Check

Gainfield helps you check a microphone setup before recording. Capture a short local test: three seconds of room tone followed by seven seconds of normal speech. Review actual digital peak level, headroom, room and voice RMS levels, their difference, clipped sample count, and a waveform of the saved recording. Listen back, name the test, add a note, and compare two setups side by side. Keep checks in a local archive and export a PDF check sheet plus CSV measurement row. The app reports relative digital input levels in dBFS. It is not a calibrated sound-pressure meter, noise-certification tool, or guarantee of recording quality. Automatic flags are prompts to listen and review. Recording characteristics can vary by device, microphone, input route, and system processing. Recordings and measurements stay on your device. Audio is not attached to the PDF or CSV export. No account, ads, subscription, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or developer-server upload.
