About

Is that event shift worth more than the shift you already have? MoonlightJob finds the games, concerts and shows near you this week, and for each one works out what the work would leave you per hour after the trip there and back, your gas and car upkeep, your transit fare and parking you enter. Then it sets that against your regular shift, a day off, or what you usually make. WHAT YOU SEE - Tonight: pick when you're free and see the work that fits, with one answer to "What should I do right now?" - My Week: seven days, with your regular shifts, the events near you and the best work that fits each day. - Work: event staff (ushers, concessions, security, cleanup, parking) at typical pay for your area, and driving after the game. - Events: a map and list of what's on within your search radius, with real drive or transit times. NUMBERS YOU CAN TRACE - Typical pay comes from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics wage survey for your metro area or state, or the local minimum wage where that is higher, read on the day of the event. It's marked as an estimate, not an offer. - Travel times come from real routes, and the app says so when it has to estimate one. Gas is the US Energy Information Administration's weekly average for your area unless you type your own price. - When nobody publishes the pay, as with rideshare driving, Moonlight doesn't guess. It shows what you'd need to make per hour for the work to be worth it. - Log what you actually made after a night, and next time Moonlight uses your own numbers. FROM ANY LISTING Found a shift in another app or on a web page? Share it to Moonlight from the share sheet. It reads only what the listing states and leaves the rest for you to fill in. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account and no sign-in. No ads, no tracking. Your job, your shifts and what you made stay on your phone. Location is optional: type a US city or ZIP instead. GOOD TO KNOW - Covers the 50 states and DC. - Moonlight doesn't post jobs or hire anyone. The employer decides who works. - Busy driving hours are shown in Chicago only, from the city's published trip data. - For adults 18 and over. This site provides applications using data that has been modified for use from its original source, www.cityofchicago.org, the official website of the City of Chicago.
