GVF IMS

GVF IMS is the field companion for authorised Greyton Volunteer Firefighters members. A GVF account and appropriate access are required. With GVF IMS you can: • Receive volunteer callout notifications. • Accept a callout or indicate that you are unavailable. • View assigned incidents and open directions to the incident. • Record your arrival and check out when you leave. • View equipment issued to you and your recent attendance records. LOCATION SHARING DURING INCIDENT ATTENDANCE Accepting a callout or recording arrival requires agreement to location sharing and location permission. Once confirmed, sharing starts automatically so authorised GVF dispatchers and responders can see your latest position, accuracy and update time. Sharing can continue while the screen is locked. Each sharing session lasts up to 12 hours. Checking out ends sharing, and you can also stop sharing from the app. Stopping location sharing does not record your departure; use Check out when you leave. The location service keeps your latest reported position rather than a route history. Attendance and equipment records are retained separately. An internet connection is required to receive callouts, record changes and deliver location updates.
