About

Move text, images and files from your computer to your phone by scanning a QR code. No USB stick, no cable, no emailing things to yourself — and nothing passes through a server. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open pixedrop.com in your computer's browser 2. Paste some text, or drop in an image or file 3. Point PixeDrop at your computer screen — it lands on your phone Nothing to install on the computer. The web page is the sender. WHAT YOU CAN SEND · Text — long commands, connection strings, keys, codes. Copy with one tap, without mistyping a character · Images — screenshots, charts, photos. Save straight to Photos or forward on · Files — any format, up to 1 MB each. Hand off to Files or any other app via the system share sheet WHY NOTHING TOUCHES A SERVER Your content is encoded into a sequence of animated QR codes shown on the computer screen, and read back by the phone's camera. The data travels between your own two screens. It is never uploaded, relayed, or stored on any server. · The phone needs no network at all — it works in airplane mode · No account, no sign-up, no personal information collected · The camera is used only to recognise QR codes live; no photos or video are taken or saved · No advertising SDKs, no tracking code GOOD FOR · Two devices with no network in common, when opening your email just to move a line of text is absurd · A computer that is offline, or content you would rather not put on any network · Grabbing a command or a screenshot off a screen and onto your phone · Meeting rooms, server rooms, a client's desk — if there is a screen, it works WORTH KNOWING · The computer needs to load pixedrop.com once (the page itself comes over the network) · 1 MB per file. The larger the content, the longer the QR sequence plays · Speed depends on screen brightness, camera distance and ambient light Available in 36 languages, following your system language.Read more
