About

For adults in their first year of guitar who practise at home alone. Unlike the lesson courses it sits beside, New Guitar does not teach and never grades your playing through the microphone — it plans the next fifteen minutes and tracks the two measures you take yourself. It is not a teacher and does not compete with one. It is the structure between lessons: at half past eight, with a short and uncertain amount of time and no plan for it, it hands over one card for tonight — a warm-up, a single technique drill, and one named section of a real song. Fifteen minutes, three things, and then you are finished. THE CARD LEARNS FROM WHAT YOU SKIP (PRO) Swap or skip a block and the app asks one question: why. Too hard, no time, boring, sore hands. That answer is the only thing it ever asks you for; on the free plan it goes into your record, and with Pro it rebuilds tomorrow's card. A drill you keep skipping makes way for an easier one. A section that keeps not landing is swapped for a shorter one. Sore hands give that kind of block a couple of days off. The card always says why it chose these three, so nothing is magic. TWO NUMBERS YOU CAN ACTUALLY MOVE Time sixty seconds between two chords and log how many clean changes you made. Watch that number climb against your own earlier self — never against a pass mark, because there is no honest pass mark. Split a song into the sections you think in and mark each one learning, shaky or solid. With Pro, see which single section is holding the whole song back. SPEED IS EARNED, NEVER ATTEMPTED (PRO) With Pro, every section carries a tempo ladder. The rung moves up by five only after three clean passes in a row at the current one. A single good run promotes nothing, because anybody's best single run is luck rather than reliability. IT NEVER LISTENS AND NEVER GRADES YOU There is no microphone, no pitch detection and no score out of a hundred. You say what happened and the app does honest arithmetic on it. Every number on every screen is computed from your own logged practice, and where there is no evidence yet the app shows no number at all. AND IT TELLS YOU WHEN PRACTICE IS FADING (PRO) The thing that ends a first year is not a bad night, it is a fortnight nobody noticed. With Pro, New Guitar watches the shape of a fade — fewer evenings, shorter ones, more blocks skipped — and says so plainly while it is still recoverable. FREE, FOR AS LONG AS YOU USE IT Tonight's card, the guided session, the sixty-second counter with its full history, one song with unlimited sections, the whole technique drill library, your practice goal and an optional evening reminder. NEW GUITAR PRO The card rebuilt from the reasons you gave, every song you are learning rather than one, the tempo ladder on every section, the section holding each song back, your complete practice history, the weekly reckoning and the stall watch. Monthly or yearly, after a seven-day free trial. Privacy Policy: https://r4ufom5d5q.accountnotify.app/privacy Terms of Use (EULA): https://r4ufom5d5q.accountnotify.app/termsRead more
