Kasset: Music & Audiobooks

The music is already on your phone. Finding an app that will simply play it is the hard part — everything wants an account, a connection, a subscription, and an ad between the tracks you own. Kasset plays your files. Copy a folder of audio onto your iPhone or iPad and it becomes a playlist. An audiobook remembers where you stopped. There is nothing to sign into, and nothing leaves your device. FOLDERS IN, PLAYLISTS OUT - Plug in to a Mac, or use the Files app, and drop folders into On My iPhone (or iPad) → Kasset. Every folder there is offered as a playlist. - Or send from any computer over Wi-Fi: open the address Kasset shows in a browser and drop files or whole folders. - Albums play straight through, with no gap between songs. - A Home Screen widget shows what is playing, with play, pause and next. - Or add a folder from anywhere else: iCloud Drive, a USB stick, another app's folder. - Reads M3U, M3U8 and PLS playlist files, and numbered tracklists matched to your files. - Plays MP3, AAC, M4A, M4B, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF and CAF. - Sort by date added, search, reorder and share playlists. IN THE CAR, ON YOUR WRIST, ON iPAD - CarPlay shows your playlists, books and recent plays. Open a playlist and pick any song; a book picks up where you left it. - Apple Watch: start a playlist or a book from your wrist and control what your iPhone plays. - iPad: the player beside your library, Up next alongside, and folders dragged in from Files. AUDIOBOOKS THAT KEEP THEIR PLACE - Every book holds its own place, so you can play music in between and come back to the right minute. - Chapter markers inside a single file, and chapter-by-chapter for a folder of parts. - 15 seconds back and 30 seconds forward, on screen and on the lock screen. - Speed from 0.75x to 3x with the voice unchanged. - A sleep timer: 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or stop at the end of the current track. IT MOVES WITH THE MUSIC - Four visualizations drawn from the sound itself: Spectrum, Scope, Orbit and Aurora. - Swipe between them on the Now Playing screen, or open one full screen. - Nothing strobes, Reduce Motion is respected, and they switch off if you would rather. COVERS FOR SONGS WITH NO ARTWORK - On any device, a cover is painted from an analysis of the song's own sound. - With Apple Intelligence on iOS 26 and earlier, a cover can be made on the device instead. - Artwork embedded in your files always wins, and a made-up cover is labelled as one. SOUNDS THE WAY YOU LIKE - A ten-band equalizer with a preamp and ten presets, applied to AirPlay and CarPlay output too. - Lyrics from an .lrc file beside the track or from its tags, shown in the player where the cover was: synced, tappable, with a per-song offset. - Optional online lyrics lookup, off until you turn it on. - Lock screen, Control Center, headset buttons and AirPlay. KASSET PRO, ONE TIME An optional one-time purchase adds: - Cassette and retro players: a tape whose reels turn and VU meters swing with the song, and a retro LCD player, also as Home Screen widget styles. Plus five more color themes. - Crossfade, even loudness measured on the phone, and an equalizer per playlist. - Smart shuffle that flows by energy, smart playlists, and your year in listening. - Mood playlists: describe a mood, and Apple Intelligence on the phone helps pick your songs. - Auto lyric sync: Kasset listens on the device and lines timed lyrics up with the singing, or tap the line you hear. - A tag editor, and lyric timing that saves standard .lrc files. - For books: skip silence, voice boost, smart rewind, and bookmarks with notes. FREE. NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT. NO SUBSCRIPTION. - Everything above the Kasset Pro section is free, and stays free. - Kasset Pro is a single purchase. No subscription, ever. - No account, no sign-in, no cloud, no analytics. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected". Kasset does not download, rip or stream anything. It plays the files you already have. Questions? support@suprun.ca
