About
See what your home is using, right now. Octolamp reads your Octopus Home Mini directly from your iPhone and shows what you're drawing this second, what you've used today, and what it's costing. No account with us, no server in the middle: your API key stays in your phone's Keychain and talks to Octopus alone. LIVE USE, FREE The big number on the Electricity screen is free forever, with or without the full app. WHAT YOU GET • Live watts, updated every few seconds, and today's use and cost • Charts from ten minutes to thirty days, with any bar tapped for its own figure and price • Gas beside your electricity, in kWh and in money • Costs: your tariff, unit rate and standing charge, and what today, this week and this month have cost • Every tariff Octopus currently offers for your area, with yours marked, so you can see whether a better one exists • Always-on: what your home draws with nothing in use, night after night, so a failing fridge or something left on shows up • Compare any two days, weeks, months or years, side by side • Widgets for the home and lock screens, and an Apple Watch app with complications • Prepayment meters: your balance, and a warning when it runs low NO HOME MINI? Octolamp still works. It reads your smart meter's own half-hourly record instead, so you get your history, costs and insights, about a day behind. Live use needs the Mini. HOW IT'S PAID FOR Everything on the iPhone is free for seven days. After that, live use stays free, and one payment unlocks the rest, including the widgets and the watch app. No subscription, and it's shared with your family. Octolamp isn't affiliated with Octopus Energy. You'll need an Octopus account and its free API key, and a Home Mini for live readings.Read more
