About

Stay Casita is a room-arranging logic puzzle. You are given a small room, a tray of paper furniture and a handful of clue cards. Furnish the room so that every card reads true at once, and keep the house rules. THE HOUSE RULES Two rules hold in every room, and a third joins them later: - Anything tall — wardrobes, shelves, coat racks, lamps, big plants — stands against a wall. - The free squares leave a walkway from the door to the window. - From the Garden onward, nothing tall stands in front of the window. THE CLUE CARDS A card is a sentence about the room: the floor lamp next to the reading chair, two free squares between the armchair and the left wall, the round table on the rug. A card sits pale until it is true, then turns glossy orange. Exactly one arrangement makes them all true, and every card matters — take one away and a second arrangement appears. NOTHING ROTATES Every piece lies the way it was drawn. 150 ROOMS, EIGHT PLACES Entryway, Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Garden, Attic and Rooftop Terrace — fifteen rooms each, plus a daily room. Every room introduces one idea and keeps what the earlier ones taught: edges, then neighbours, then rugs you may stand a table on, a piece already fixed in place, pressed niches no piece may use, window light, a sloping attic roof, and matching pairs that flank a table. STARS AND HINTS Three stars for a room read clean — no hint, no wrong placement. Undo is unlimited and never costs anything. Hints are a small supply: you start with three, and each daily room leaves three more. A hint lights the card you have not used yet and dims the squares it rules out. THE DAILY ROOM One new room every day, no timer and no streak to keep. Miss a day and nothing is lost. Solve it and the resident writes a line about it in the journal. THE PLAN The paper casita fills up room by room. Tap a window to open that room again, or to see what is waiting inside one you have not reached yet. Nine short notes were folded into the roof; one comes loose each time a room is finished. REARRANGE Open a room you have already furnished with the cards taken away, and put everything where you like. Nothing is scored and nothing is timed. Send the result to a friend as a postcard if you want to. MERITS AND THE RESIDENT Ten merits mark the shape of play. Name your resident, and the house greets you by name. THE PAPER SHOP Furnishing a room pays out sheets of cardstock — two for the room, one more for every star, and a few extra from the daily room. Spend them on hints, on bunting for the roof, a lantern for the gable, window boxes, curtains for every room, a different sheet for the menu to print on, or the whole forty-piece drawer to use in Rearrange. Every price is printed beside the thing it buys, nothing is random, nothing is bundled, and nothing costs money. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. NO NETWORK. Stay Casita runs entirely on this device. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no internet connection of any kind.Read more
