About

Tired of screen-time battles while also repeating “brush your teeth,” “clean up,” or “finish your homework”? EarnTime connects these two everyday parenting challenges with one simple idea: Useful action → Parent approval → Earned screen time. Instead of arguing about phones and tablets again and again, kids know exactly what they can do to earn more time on their favorite apps. HOW EARNTIME WORKS 1. A parent creates a task or healthy routine and chooses a reward in minutes. 2. The child completes it and marks it done. 3. The parent approves the result. 4. Minutes are added to a shared screen-time balance. 5. The child uses earned time in apps selected by the parent. 6. Time is deducted based on actual use. When the balance reaches zero, access closes again. BUILD HEALTHY HABITS AT EVERY AGE For younger kids, goals can be simple everyday wins: use the potty, brush their teeth, put toys away, or get dressed independently. For older kids, they can include reading, homework, exercise, keeping their room tidy, helping around the house, packing a school bag, or following a daily routine. Families can also create goals around behaviors they want to reduce or replace. For example, agree on a day without an unwanted habit and reward the result after a parent confirms it. FEWER REMINDERS. MORE INDEPENDENCE. EarnTime moves everyday negotiations out of the heat of the moment and into a clear rule everyone understands. Kids can see what they need to do, how much screen time they can earn, and how much they have left. Parents spend less time repeating the same requests, bargaining over devices, and reminding kids what comes next. TIME BECOMES A FAMILY CURRENCY Screen time is something many kids already value. EarnTime turns it into a simple way to experience an important idea: Effort → Result → Reward Do something useful. Earn time. Decide how to use it. It isn’t money, but it gives kids an early, practical experience of earning, making choices, understanding trade-offs, and taking responsibility for something they value. NOT PUNISHMENT. A CLEAR EXCHANGE. EarnTime isn’t built around shame, threats, or constant surveillance. Parents set the rules and choose the apps. Kids understand what they can do to earn time and have a clear way to influence their own screen-time balance. Less fighting over devices. More healthy habits. More independence. EarnTime — screen time they actually earn. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/Read more
