About
You studied grammar for years and you still freeze when someone talks to you. That is not a grammar problem. It is a words problem. HelloHola is built on one idea: you do not need another course. You need the English words and phrases people actually use, heard out loud, drilled until they come out without thinking. So there are no lessons, no grammar tables, no teacher explaining tenses. There is a word, there is audio, there are four choices, and there is you. THE WHOLE LANGUAGE, IN ORDER 5,500 English words and 1,491 real-life phrases, sorted by how often people actually use them — from "water" and "nice to meet you" to "a blessing in disguise." Six CEFR levels, A1 to C2. When you finish B1, you really know roughly what a B1 speaker knows. 70 SETS OF 100 Every set is 100 items and takes about ten minutes. One before work, one in a queue, one before bed. Nothing is endless, nothing is a 500-question wall. You finish a set, you see your score, you move on. HEAR EVERY SINGLE WORD Audio plays automatically on every word and every phrase. Tap the speaker to hear it again, tap Slow to hear it broken down. Reading English and recognising it in someone's mouth are two different skills — this app trains both at once. AN HONEST "I DON'T KNOW" Guessing between four choices teaches you nothing. Tap "I don't know" and the word goes straight into your review pile. The app is measuring what you know, not what you got lucky on. IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE The English stays English. The meanings come in your language: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The whole interface follows your phone, so nobody learns English through a second foreign language. REVIEW, PROGRESS, AND A SCORE WORTH SENDING Words you missed come back in the Review section. The Progress tab shows how many of the 5,500 you own so far. And when you finish a set, you can send your score to a friend and dare them to beat it. FREE TO START The first three word sets and the first phrase set are open to everyone. No account, no email, no card. Try the format, then decide. QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK Is HelloHola free? Yes. The first three word sets and the first phrase set are free forever, with no account and no payment details. Do I need to know grammar first? No. HelloHola teaches English vocabulary and phrases only. Grammar without words gives you silence; words without grammar still get you understood. What is CEFR? The European standard for language levels, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (near-native). Every word and phrase in HelloHola is tagged with its level, so you always know where you stand. Does it work offline? Yes. All 5,500 words, all 1,491 phrases and all the audio live inside the app. You only need internet to start a subscription or share a score. How long is a session? About ten minutes. One set is 100 words or phrases, and you can stop whenever you like. Is this useful for exam preparation? It is built for speaking and listening in real life, but the A1 to C2 word list overlaps heavily with the vocabulary tested in standard English exams. HELLOHOLA PREMIUM Premium unlocks all six levels and all 70 sets — every word, every phrase, every language. Weekly and monthly plans are available; see the in-app pricing for your region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
