About
Lap Press helps you explore your workouts and restore missing detail in Apple Health. REPAIR A MISSING MAP Find a workout in Missing Maps, choose its original activity file, and review the route and measurements before adding them. Attach GPS, heart rate, and supported running or cycling metrics to the existing workout. Manage Imports lets you remove data Lap Press added. FIND YOUR BEST EFFORTS Open an Apple Health workout or an activity file to find your fastest stretches. Choose preset or custom distances, see each effort on the map, and inspect splits and charts with a tap or drag. Ignore Pauses excludes recorded manual and auto-pauses. Original lap summaries appear separately from calculated splits. Data Details explains sources, pauses, and position uncertainty. EXPLORE YOUR TRAINING Track personal and distance records, yearly records, and weekly volume. Distance records include average pace across their contributing workouts. Compare yearly overall pace with the average of individual workout paces, or plot your record times. Filter weekly volume by dates, choose the first day of the week, and open a week to explore its activities. Touch and hold an artifact time to exclude it from personal records or restore it later. Save route segments to compare running workouts in the same direction; segment times include pauses. SEE YOUR ROUTES TOGETHER Explore a cached heatmap of your Health routes, apply Records filters, and identify the activities behind a line. Cancel or resume reading without losing completed work. Adjust map detail, route color and opacity. Color routes by pace, year, month, season, elapsed time, recorded elevation, distance traveled, heart rate, or saved workout temperature. Tune palettes with a sampled histogram, custom limits, and scaling curves. Missing values stay gray; elevation is never downloaded or estimated from terrain services. Review flagged route sections and choose what appears on the heatmap. Screening highlights possible GPS artifacts for review; it does not prove a route is wrong or change Health data. SHARE YOUR VIEW Create activity cards, route PNGs, heatmap images, or a heatmap-building animation. Choose transparent, solid-color, grid, or map backgrounds and adjust route appearance and framing. Route PNGs support measurement colors too. Export GPX or FIT, or splits and best efforts as CSV. Export supported Health workout data in a ZIP filtered by activity type, dates, measurements, and format. BRING OVER OLDER ACTIVITIES Import activity history and optionally create selected missing workouts with available routes, sport, names, and calorie totals. Search and filter Review New Workouts before choosing what to create. Inspect skipped files and overlaps, or review split and trim options for long recordings. Creation requires confirmation. Only readable overlaps can be checked, so check Fitness first. Other apps' workouts and samples are preserved. YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE Workouts are analyzed on your device. No Lap Press account, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Choose Health permissions and what to share. Hide positions near a home zone in new attachments and exports. Health Data & Recovery provides access guidance and recovery tools. Maps use Apple MapKit; optional weather uses Apple WeatherKit. Try the public Boston example without Health access. Its timing is labeled as simulated. Supports FIT, GPX, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, CSV, PWX, HRM, NMEA, ZIP, and GZ. Measurements depend on the recording and readable Health data. Best Efforts needs detailed distance or GPS samples; workout totals alone are insufficient. Unrecorded stops still count. Export covers supported readable workout data, not the entire Health database. Lap Press is independent and is not affiliated with Apple or Garmin. Garmin files are exported manually from its website; no Garmin account connection is required.Read more
