About
Beepnik is a side-scrolling platformer that teaches. Instead of reading about a subject, you play it: every level turns one idea into a physical rule you can feel, the way an old Mario level teaches jumping by placing a pit in front of you. Guide Beep, a small robot, through worlds built one part at a time. Each world is a subject. Each chapter is a group of ideas. Each level is one idea, with its own object on screen, not a paragraph to read. Every object carries its real name, Beep explains what just happened, and a short question at the end of each level checks that the idea landed before you move on. The first world teaches how Claude Code, an AI coding tool, works. The context window is a backpack that fills up as you carry things, measured in thousands of tokens, and a heavier bag means a lower jump. Rules live on a board at the airlock, the way a CLAUDE.md file gives an instruction that holds every time. Tools switch on only where they fit. Memory is a crystal that survives a reset when your backpack does not. Nine chapters, 65 levels and 31 concept cards cover the whole tool, from the first prompt to running it in a pipeline. More worlds, on other subjects, are planned. Nothing in play is text-heavy. Each level opens with one short sentence, shows a hint when you get stuck, and ends with a card naming the real concept you just played through. Built so a beginner of any age can follow it. Beepnik runs on iPhone and iPad in any orientation, is free, and needs no account, no network connection and no sign-in. Privacy: Beepnik makes no network calls, collects no data, shows no ads, and has no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your progress is saved in a plain file on your own device and never leaves it. Beepnik is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. "Claude" and "Claude Code" are used only to describe the real tool the first world teaches about.Read more
