About

You know what you should do with your phone. You just don't want to do it right now. Reflect is a Screen Time app that takes your future-self's side over your late-night-self's. When you set a limit on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or anything else, that limit is a commitment. Not a suggestion. Asking to extend it doesn't give you the extension. It gives tomorrow-you a notification: "Yesterday at 11 PM, you wanted to extend Socials to 8 sessions. Approve or deny?" Tomorrow-you is rested. Tomorrow-you isn't in the moment of wanting. Tomorrow-you has to live with the decision. Most of the time, tomorrow-you denies. That's the whole product. One rule: loosening a limit is treated like the serious decision it is. You can always make limits stricter — those apply immediately. Loosening them waits until morning. What Reflect does Per-app session limits and daily session counts Pick which apps to limit and pick a daily cap for each A session timer with a hard countdown. No shortcuts, no extensions A daily reset at a time you choose (4 AM by default, so a late-night binge counts against tomorrow's budget) A screen-time dashboard that shows what you actually used — because Apple's built-in one, frankly, lies to you Habit tracking (beta) for building routines around your phone use What Reflect doesn't do Streaks Gamification Leaderboards Motivational quotes "You used 4 minutes less than yesterday!" If you want a screen time app that celebrates you for opening Instagram, Reflect isn't it. Reflect is for people who know what they want and need their phone to get out of the way. How it works Reflect uses Apple's Screen Time framework, so the limits apply system-wide. They survive a force-quit. They show up in iOS Settings. They work even if you delete Reflect. There's no server-side enforcement — this isn't an MDM product — but the limit shows up exactly where iOS shows all the others. Privacy Reflect never sends anything off your phone. No analytics, no account, no cloud. The data lives in your iPhone's App Group; if you delete the app, the data goes with it. If you reinstall, there's an option to restore from a local keychain backup.Read more
