Freetown Dice is backgammon the way it used to be played in the Freetown: on worn wooden tables, with a coffee going cold, a friend across the board and the whole afternoon ahead. For years those tables were full. People came for one game and stayed for the talk, the teasing and the rematches that went on until evening. Those days are gone, and we miss them more than we can say. This game is our attempt to bring a little of that feeling back. It is not the same, nothing could be, but we hope it reminds you of those afternoons. And if you never sat at those tables, we hope it lets you feel why so many of us still think about them. WHAT YOU GET • Classic backgammon against the computer, with the real rules • A wooden table with checkers, dice and a cup of coffee • Opponents with their own faces • A coin for every game you win, to spend on drinks, food, lighters and ashtrays for your side of the table • Stickers that you earn by winning, not by paying • Three moods for the sound of the place: morning, afternoon and evening • Relaxed games you can put down and pick up again Free to play, with an advert between games now and then.
