About

Scripture texts in Russian (Synodal translation, modern RBO and "Word of Life" translations), Ukrainian (Ohienko translation), English (New International Version), and the original languages — ancient Hebrew for the Old Testament and ancient Greek for the New Testament. For easier side-by-side comparison, chapter and verse numbering in the English text and the original-language texts is aligned with the Synodal translation. This app wasn't built to include the largest possible number of texts, as many major Bible programs do. Instead, it offers a convenient way to read different translations side by side, interlinear, in a single window. Among mobile Bible apps, this is one of the few that lets you compare two or more translations at once. FOR PREACHERS Standing at the pulpit, you can read a verse in several translations at once — no need to carry multiple Bibles or write out quotes in advance. Everything you need is right there in one app. FOR STUDENTS OF THE WORD Verses we know by heart often lose part of their meaning — we read them through the lens of a familiar interpretation. Modern translations help you see the text from a different angle and notice what may have slipped past your attention before. At the same time, Bible Sources doesn't ask you to give up the rich Synodal translation, cherished by millions of Christians — it remains at the heart of the app. Another goal of the app is quick access to the original text: to check the pronunciation of names and places, or to try your hand at your own translation of a verse. Working with the original language — or even just its alphabet — turns Bible study into a genuinely engaging pursuit. FOR TRANSLATORS It's convenient to work on a verse you're translating while seeing the source text right beside it. Thanks to unified chapter and verse numbering, you can instantly find the same verse across all five texts at once, without manually recalculating numbers or searching for the right place — especially valuable for side-by-side comparison and when preparing your own translation. FOR MESSIANIC COMMUNITIES How do you quickly compare a verse from the Tanakh with the familiar text of the Synodal translation? There's no need to carry the Synodal translation separately along with dozens of Tanakh books, flipping through pages to find the right passage — it's all in one app. Baruch HaShem, chaverim! FOR LANGUAGE LEARNERS The app can help with learning English, Hebrew, and ancient Greek. Building the verse-correspondence database was itself a major part of how the app's author learned Hebrew — and it can become a similar tool for you.
