About

SnapFix DIY is a pocket repair reference for homeowners, renters and weekend DIYers. Type what is wrong - a dripping tap, a hole in the wall, a sticking door - and get a short, step-by-step guide measured against your house, your tools and your own pace. KNOW BEFORE YOU START Every guide is checked before its first step. Gas work, notifiable wiring and structural work get a clear stop: the rule, who is allowed to do it, what you can still safely do yourself, and the questions to ask the tradesperson. Stop verdicts are always free. A TIME ESTIMATE THAT SHOWS ITS WORKING See how long a job should take you, and why: the book time, your house, your experience and the trip for parts. Finish a few jobs and the estimate moves to your own pace. YOUR KIT AND YOUR PARTS Record the tools and leftover parts you already own, and each guide shows what you have and what you still need. YOUR HOUSE RECORD Note where the stopcock, consumer unit and gas meter are, and keep a history of finished jobs. SnapFix spots repeats - the third washer on the same tap - so you can fix the cause. WORKBENCH MODE One step at a time, sized for how far away your phone is propped, with the screen kept awake. HANDY TOOLS An anchor picker for what will hold in your wall, and a paint calculator for litres and coats. UK and US rule sets, metric or imperial. Works without an account; an optional account copies your house record to another phone. SNAPFIX PRO (optional subscription) Three guides a month are free. Pro unlocks unlimited guides, one combined shopping run across every saved job, and your own project checklists. - Monthly or yearly, with a free trial for eligible new subscribers - Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. SnapFix DIY is a reference tool, not professional advice. For any job it stops, use a qualified tradesperson.
