About

Planning a slightly complex trip and scratching your head about the different routes you could take? Let Via help. Enter the prices and times of flights, trains, ferries, buses, taxis etc. that you have already found and Via does the maths. It crosses every combination, prices each complete route against your return and bundle fares, and strikes out the ones you could not actually make. It is not a search engine. It is what you reach for after searching, when you have eleven browser tabs open and no idea which combination is genuinely best. A booking site gives you the data, Via grounds it in your context. It can tell you: - the door-to-door totals, including the various costs and journey time of getting to various airports/stations in your home city - whether a flight leaves too early for you to realistically get to the airport (by public transport) - what the cheapest way to buy a route is, which may be different from the cheapest-looking return fare - whether the transfer between legs is feasible given the buffer time you've set Via is built around variants — complete alternative versions of the same trip. Out via Paris and home from La Rochelle, against out via Paris and home from Bordeaux. Open jaws, different orderings, different airports: name each one, fill it in, and see them ranked side by side. Fares move. If you return to the plan in a few days/weeks, update the prices you've notice have changed and Via re-ranks everything, so you're not starting from near zero again. Via has no accounts, nor tracking. Nothing you enter in the app leaves your device unless you export it. Via is free to download, and one journey of your own is free to keep — with unlimited variants inside it, and no limit on deleting it and starting another. One trip at a time is a real way to use the app, not a trial. Keeping more than one journey at a time is a single one-off purchase. No subscription, ever. The worked examples do not count towards the limit.Read more
