About
Most apps want to show you everything. Herald does the opposite. I built Herald around a simple idea: at any given moment, there is usually one thing that matters more than the rest. A flight. A birthday. A deadline. A match. A concert. Dinner with someone you have not seen in months. Herald gives that one thing the space it deserves. When you open the app, you do not get a calendar, a feed, or a long list of reminders. You see the event that matters next, its date, its place, and a countdown that gets closer with you. And Herald does not stay inside the app. Put it on your home screen. Put it on your lock screen. Keep it in a Live Activity. Let it sit quietly in your notifications. The idea is simple: you should not have to remember to open an app to remember what you are looking forward to. You can keep more events waiting in the Ledger, but only one gets the front. When its time comes and passes, Herald moves on to what matters next. Recurring things like birthdays, anniversaries and monthly reminders can return when their time comes again. If you already have something important in your calendar, Herald can help you bring one event across. It reads your calendar only when you ask, lets you choose one event, and keeps only the event you claim. There is no continuous calendar sync. Herald is also built to stay out of your way. There is no Herald account. There is no tracking. Your events stay on your device and follow the backup system your phone already uses. I did not want to build another productivity app that asks you to manage your life. I wanted to build something quieter. Something that takes one moment from the future and keeps it close until it becomes the present. Herald. What matters next.Read more
