Mica Habits

One small thing a day. That is the whole ask. Mica is a habit app that behaves like a relationship instead of a scoreboard. You bring one small thing you could still do on a bad day. Mica — a small ember creature with a leaf sprout — keeps the fire while you are gone. Overnight the fire works. Every seventh day you feed it, there is something half-made on the anvil in the morning, and you finish it together with five taps of the hammer. What you make goes on a shelf, in a room that fills up over months. That room is your home screen. THERE IS NO STREAK TO LOSE A missed day does not break anything. The fire banks down to warm coals, Mica sleeps beside them, and the room waits for you. No red numbers, no broken chains, no guilt, no countdowns. That is a design decision, not an oversight, and it will not be reversed. WHAT IS IN THE ROOM • Up to three fires, free — one for each thing you are tending • A forge that turns showing up into something you can hold • A room you decorate: rugs, curtains, lanterns, a rocking chair, paint for the walls • Mica herself, who putters around the room, naps by the fire, and will talk with you about your habits when you want company • Sealed letters to your later self, openable only on the day you choose and not one day sooner • A hill of friends' cottages you can walk — knock, and step inside their room • Apple Health, if you like: let your steps, mindful minutes or exercise feed a fire • Apple Watch: see the fire and feed it from your wrist • A picture of your room to share — never what you are working on PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your habit names stay on your phone unless you choose to save your room to an account, and they are never shown to anyone else. Friends see whether your fire is lit tonight and nothing else — never what you are working on. There are no feeds, no rankings, no leaderboards, and nobody is counting. MICA PLUS $8.99 a month or $49.99 a year, each with a one-week free trial: ten fires instead of three; five times the daily conversation with Mica, who remembers your last talks; a fire to share with a friend, each of you feeding your own side; and the Dawn and Night widget looks. Everything the room holds is also earnable simply by showing up — money never advances your fire, your shelf, or the forge. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. Plus renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before then. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account settings.
