About
OuraSync adds to what the Oura app already sends to Apple Health. The Oura app exports Active Energy, Heart Rate, Height, Mindful Minutes, Respiratory Rate, Sleep and its stages, Steps, Weight, Workouts and Workout Routes. OuraSync writes the readings that sit outside that set: resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen (SpO₂), body temperature, and VO₂ Max. It reads them from your own Oura account through Oura's official API and writes them on your iPhone. The data never passes through our servers. Apple Health then holds them next to data from your other sources. Use the Oura app for everything Oura provides. This app is transport, not analysis: no scores, no readiness or sleep interpretation, no derived insights. HOW IT WORKS - Sign in to your Oura account with OAuth. The app never sees your Oura password. - Syncing runs in the background on iOS's schedule. You can also sync by hand from the home screen. - Version 1 syncs a rolling seven-day window. It does not import older history. - Every sample carries a stable sync identifier, so a repeat run corrects a value instead of duplicating it. - Time zones come from Oura's own offsets, so a reading lands on the day you lived it. - The Status screen lists what was written, skipped or failed, per metric and day, with the reason. - Purge removes everything the app wrote to Apple Health — one metric or all of it. WHAT YOU NEED An Oura Ring, an Oura account, and an active Oura membership. Oura requires an active membership for API access, so without one there is no data to sync. That membership is purchased from Oura and is separate from this subscription. iPhone only. SUBSCRIPTION OuraSync Pro: $1.99 per month, or $9.99 per year with a one-week free trial. The subscription covers all syncing — background sync, manual sync, the status history, and the purge tool. Without it, syncing pauses. Everything already written to Apple Health stays where it is. The app never removes your data because a subscription ended. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. PRIVACY Health data goes from Oura's servers to your iPhone to Apple Health. It never reaches Steelheart Labs, and we have no way to see it. A stateless token broker performs the OAuth exchange and refresh only: it stores nothing and logs no token contents. Crash reports and subscription records carry no health values, no tokens, and no name or email — only an anonymous, app-generated identifier. There are no accounts. An on-device sync ledger records, per metric and day, the value written, the timestamp, the status, and internal version numbers; it never leaves the device and is excluded from device backup. Sign out to erase your tokens, purge to remove what was written, delete the app to remove everything local. OuraSync moves wellness data between services you already use. The values are consumer wellness estimates produced by Oura's ring and algorithms, not medical measurements. They are not for diagnosis or treatment.
