About
Social media does not have to be all or nothing. Halo gives parents a better way to manage how their children use social media. Instead of only blocking an entire app or limiting screen time, Halo lets parents choose which parts of the experience remain available. HOW HALO WORKS Children access supported social platforms through Halo’s controlled experience. Parents decide which features are available, and Halo can restrict access to the regular app so those choices cannot be easily bypassed. CHOOSE WHAT STAYS Depending on the supported platform, parents can remove features such as: • Short video feeds • Explore and discovery pages • Suggested content • Autoplay • Comments • Messaging • Other distracting or unwanted features A MIDDLE GROUND FOR FAMILIES Halo allows children to stay connected without giving algorithms unrestricted control over what they see. Parents can create an experience that fits their child, their household, and their comfort level. MORE THAN AN APP BLOCKER Traditional parental controls usually block an entire app or limit how long it can be used. Halo provides more precise control by letting parents manage individual features inside supported social platforms. BUILT WITH PRIVACY IN MIND Halo does not ask for or store your child’s social media password. Sign in happens directly through the supported platform’s experience. Halo cannot eliminate every online risk and is not a replacement for active parenting. It gives families additional tools and more control over the social media experience. Halo is an independent parental control application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the social platforms it supports. https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/Read more

Reels limits are here. You can now choose when Instagram Reels is allowed, how long it can be used each day, or both. Outside those hours, or once the daily time is used up, Reels stays blocked until the next window or the next morning. On your child’s phone, the shield menu shows how much Reels time is left. The timer runs while they’re in Reels and stays paused on other Instagram pages. Analytics now includes an Instagram Reels card, so you can see today’s time next to the limit you set. Changing a Parent PIN asks for the current PIN first. From Blocking, you can also add a child and cre…
