Point your camera at any chess position — a real board, a chess book diagram, a screen — and within seconds you're on a live analysis board. Then go further: learn the openings behind your positions in a community lesson library that grows as one living tree. RECOGNIZE ANY BOARD • Real boards from an angle, printed book diagrams, screenshots, photos of screens • Recognition models designed and trained from scratch for Seechess — not an off-the-shelf scanner • Fix any recognition slip by dragging pieces — then confirm and analyze LEARN — A LIVING OPENING TREE • Curated lessons with move-by-move coaching remarks, every line sanity-checked with Stockfish • The whole library is one tree: shared trunks, named openings, and branch points offered right on the board while you study • Search lessons by title, author or any move (type e4 and see every lesson that plays it); filter by White or Black perspective • Contribute your own lessons from any position — approved lessons join the tree for everyone CHESS.COM-STYLE ANALYSIS • Stockfish runs on your device: evaluation bar, best lines, live re-analysis as you play moves forward • Coach arrows show the best move and the threat you must answer • Material count, move list, board flip, mate and draw detection • Set up any position from scratch with the free-placement editor PLAY OFFLINE — EVEN ON A PLANE • Two phones, zero internet: one hosts, the other scans a QR code • Real match with clocks, increments, draw offers, resignation and rematches • Works over one phone's hotspot — no network infrastructure needed SAVE WHAT MATTERS • Name and keep positions and finished matches, with the original photo as an optional keepsake No accounts. No ads. No tracking. FAIR PLAY Seechess is for learning and analysis — after the game, not during it. Using engine assistance while playing rated chess violates the fair-play rules of chess platforms and federations and can end in account closure. Seechess must not be used for real-time assistance in competitive play; how you use it is your responsibility alone.
