About
Five cards in front of you, face down. At the start you may look at two of them. Everything else you have to work out — from what other people draw, what they throw away, and what they are suddenly willing to risk. Call Vinto when you think your hand is the lowest. Be right and it pays. Be wrong and it costs you. WHY VINTO • You learn it by playing it — the tutorial deals a real round and talks you through your own hand as it goes. No rulebook, no video, and you can skip it and start playing. • Play with people you actually know — open a room and send six characters. Whoever gets them is at the table. No account, no sign-up, no friend list, and nothing to install for anyone who would rather play in their browser. • Three opponents who genuinely think — the computer players search the game out rather than following a script, at three strengths. Solo plays fully offline. • Every card does something — look at one of your own, look at somebody else's, swap two cards blind, or make the whole table throw in a rank. Knowing when NOT to spend one is most of the skill. • Your own pace — calm while you are learning it, brisk once you are not. Light and dark, both measured for contrast, and nothing at the table is told apart by colour alone. • Nothing to buy and nothing to watch — no ads, not now and not ever. No account. The anonymous counting can be switched off in Settings, and it never carried a name in the first place. HOW A TURN GOES Draw from the deck, or take the action card sitting on the discard pile. Swap it into your hand, use what it does, or throw it away. Then anybody who is holding a card of the same rank may throw theirs in — which is where a round can turn over in one second, in either direction. Number cards score their face value. Action cards score ten. The King scores nothing at all, and the Joker takes one off. So a hand you cannot see is a hand you cannot price, and that is the whole problem. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone who likes a card game with a bluff in it and a short round — the kind that gets played four times because the first one ended in an argument. It is a family of games people have played around kitchen tables for years; this is that game, with three opponents who are always free and a table you can open for your own. Hold less. Know more.Read more

The final round can be played as a team. Once somebody calls Vinto, the three against them can read and build a plan together — a sentence a turn, about cards somebody has actually seen. It is table talk, not an order: whoever is on play still picks up their own cards. Your opponents have names. Gale, Ember, Tide and Dune keep the same seats, each named for the mark on its portrait, and they now throw in a card a teammate has named. An invitation carries a code to scan, and it asks before it takes a seat. A card you tap starts moving at once, and a busy control says so instead of ignoring y…
